Eli Gershkovitch Rides the Crest of the Craft Beer Wave

Since the beginning, Steamworks’ beers have been winning awards because its founder ensured that the essence of this product was excellent. In 1997, Steamworks won a Gold Medal for its Steam Engine Lager. It has consistently won awards for its various brews throughout the years, with very few exceptions.

Steamworks Brewery was founded by Eli Gershkovitch. He is the ideal businessman for the twenty-first century. He has multi-faceted interests, he’s a lawyer who flies planes and collects classic cars, but most importantly, appreciates craft beer (WeeklyOpinion). Steamworks Brewery was his creation. Gershkovitch started it when he transformed an old steam plant in Gastown, Vancouver, British Columbia into a pub in 1995. Steamworks opened with 184 seats and has grown over the years to now seat 754.

Eli Gershkovitch is now a brewmaster with his eyes trained on maintaining a seat at the top level of Canadian Breweries, the craft beer masters. Canada’s microbreweries are disbursed throughout the country but concentrated in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Newfoundland, and Labrador.

Utilizing the motto, that a business expands to meet demand or demand will shrink to meet you, Eli Gershkovitch is constantly brewing new lagers, ales, stouts, and porters. Every type of beer from every corner of the world has been brewed by Steamworks to tantalize the taste buds of its discerning cosmopolitan customers.

This customer has turned away from allegiance to the big names, Budweiser, Heineken, Bud, Miller, Coors, and Guinness. They have shown that they thirst for variety, the variety only the microbreweries are offering at a pace equal to their demand. Eli Gershkovitch’s Steamworks Brewery is one of those microbreweries meeting that demand.

Steamworks easily ranks number two among British Columbia’s breweries and continuously wins awards for beers like its Black Angel IPA. It wins two to three awards for its beers annually. Gershkovitch learned early that the youth of the world craved the craft beer experience. In travels to Europe in university, he saw firsthand the way the wind was blowing for the college-aged. Even then, they clearly preferred craft beers. Today, that preference is even more obvious, with sales for craft beers expected to account for 20% of beer sales in the near future.

The Healing Hands of Dr. Mark Holterman

Dr. Mark Holterman was born to two parents on a family-owned farm in rural Wisconsin. Neither of them had been to college. Nevertheless, education was important to them and they insisted young Mark go to school. In school, Mark excelled and soon he was bound for Yale University, a place upon which he left an indelible mark, followed by four incredible years at the University of Virginia Medical School (Crunchbase). What made Mark’s time at medical school so magical was not just the skills he learned there, or the philosophies of medicine which so entranced him, but also a young woman (and future surgeon) who would inspire him on to even greater things; not the least of which was a desire to take her hand in marriage.

After doctors Mark Holterman and Ai-Xuan Le tied the knot they set about hopping the globe, helping children wherever there was a need. First, they went to Canada, then they went to Vietnam. In 2011, Dr. Mark Holterman became a faculty member at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He also began serving as CEO of Mariam Global Health, an investment fund geared specifically towards developing new and exciting medical technologies meant to improve the lives of the less fortunate.

Mark has also spent a great deal of his career researching in the field of regenerative medicine, a medical science some experts predict could lengthen the average lifespan of a human being significant. In addition to all of this, Mark maintains two medical practices in Illinois (one in Maywood, another in Peoria) and he remains active in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons.

Mark’s favorite pursuit, however, is his involvement with the International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam. Mark and his wife Dr. Ai-Xuan Le were inspired to reach out to, and care for, the people of Vietnam after a particularly emotional trip to that country in 1975. Their efforts there have done tremendous good, but that should be no surprise. Dr. Mark Holterman does well wherever he goes.

Jorge Moll: Why Giving is Important

There is a famous saying which states that “it is better to give than to receive.” It turns out that this overused line is scientifically accurate. Jorge Moll, a neuroscientist from Brazil, explained why giving is important and why people should consider giving. According to the studies conducted by Jorge Moll, giving is an act which triggers a positive vibe for an individual. This would result in lower stress levels and proper blood circulation. The research conducted by Jorge Moll involves several other neuroscientists who have experiences in studying the secrets of the human mind. The reason why Jorge Moll is studying the line is that of his will to learn more about the human body and how different chemical changes inside the brain causes us how to react to things happening around us.

Jorge Moll, personally, is also a huge giver. He would think about charities and institutions that would need his money, and he starts to help them out with his cash. Through giving some of his finances, Jorge Moll is expecting that his health would also improve. Today, Jorge Moll is busy doing additional research that would accompany his earlier research about giving. He is working with the assistance from some of his colleagues, and all of them are starting to think about the nature of the study and how it will help them in understanding how a new industry works.

Aside from his experimentation, Jorge Moll is also doing observances, especially to those who have been giving for a very long time. The Brazilian neuroscientist noted that they are more capable of doing work, and they are the ones which produce the best numbers and results (MundoDoMarketing). Jorge Moll encourages everyone to give alms or support to those people who are living in the streets. He also appealed to the public to try giving out some of their finances to institutions which are helping humanity, especially during crises. The study by Jorge Moll is now being reviewed by scientists all around the world. Jorge Moll is expecting that his groundbreaking research will be published in online medical journals or being distributed as a hard copy material.

Lori Senecal Nears Retirement

It’s not easy for a high-ranking corporate officer to simply retire. The average person only worries what to do after retirement. For high-ranking corporate officers, there’s the issue of finding a replacement that will continue to uphold the company’s standards. That’s the problem Lori Senecal is facing today.

Lori plans on retiring at the end of this year. She’s worked with CP+B since 2015. While that doesn’t seem like a long time, she’s worked for numerous other companies before CP+B. Even after joining CP+B, she held many high-ranking positions at the company. She began as the company’s President and CEO and was later named Global CEO.

Though she’s only been with the company a few years, she turned CP+B into an internationally known ad agency. She’s an expert at introducing new technology and business strategies that maximize growth. Thanks to her reconstruction of the company’s infrastructure, CP+B is as agile as a startup. You can visit cpbgroup to see more.

The same year she joined the company is the same year she landed the American Airlines account. That doesn’t sound like a big deal, but American Airlines always worked with TM Advertising. For 25 years, the two remained partners until Lori Senecal snagged the account for CP+B.

It’s that kind of exceptional performance that makes Lori Senecal such an indispensable colleague. According to the company’s founder, Chuck Porter, Lori’s made the agency a smarter company. Words like effective and brilliant perfectly describe her leadership. As the end of the year gets closer, CP+B feels the dark clouds above. For more details visit Bloomberg.

Luckily, Lori announced her retirement early enough that it’s giving her and Porter the chance to prepare for it. Though they continue moving the company forward, they’re mostly focused on building the next generation of leadership. It’s important that they pick the right people so that the transition is smooth.

Lori’s paid extra attention to Danielle Aldrich. She helped Lori land the American Airlines account. Aldrich’s performance is earning her a lot of attention. She recently spoke at 3% conference.
